Don't Swim in the Water After a Storm is a meditation on the cycles of nature,  lives, and relationships.  In this series, Goodwin reworks analog photographs from her archive, intertwining them with her digital practice to suggest layered emotional texture and a sense of continuity. These images are shaped by her background in abstract painting and her experience as a color consultant in design and cinema. The title draws on a warning her mother once gave her—a literal caution grounded in safety that has since taken on deeper metaphorical meaning. After the storm, hidden dangers surface, and the current becomes unpredictable.
